AIG India Finance Center

AIG’s Global Finance Centers, established in 2014, are comprised of a dynamic, cross-functional team of talented Finance professionals committed to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of key Finance processes and supporting the Finance mission to drive and protect value across all of AIG.

Summary of Expertise / Purpose:

The controllership function is accountable for the accounting operations performed in the Finance Center, including, the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles / international financial reporting standards / local regulatory requirements.

The scope for the controllership function includes

  • Accounting operations
  • Month end close
  • Reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting (including schedules, notes, disclosures) as per US GAAP / Local GAAP
  • Regulatory reporting as per local country regulations
  • Financial Analysis

Business segments supported are both consumer and commercial across multiple regions including  North America, APAC, Middle East and Africa and Europe

Summary of Expertise / Purpose:

The FP&A group primarily supports on-shore teams (business & corporate) with respect to management reporting, analytics, data management, data upload, periodic closing, budgeting/forecasting activities, expenses reporting & analysis.  This team focuses on enabling the provision of  timely, accurate and reliable reporting , helping to expedite decision-making and drive improved financial performance.

  • Monthly and Quarterly Reporting
  • RO & Forecast Process
  • Quarterly Business Review Pack
  • GOE Analysis
  • Master Data Management
  • Expense Data Uploads
  • Budgeting & Forecasting

Summary of Expertise / Purpose:

The India Actuarial and Analytics center collaborates with the AIG Global Actuarial teams, to:

  • Support them on building predictive models for enhanced pricing, reserving, and underwriting and customer retention
  • assist on platform migration and actuarial model development initiatives that facilitate market consistent reporting
  • provide data management and data warehousing support to aid their data digitization efforts and experience studies.

Scope: The scope for Actuarial and Analytics function includes:

  • Support all Data request for Mortality/Morbidity Studies
  • Support Quarterly Experience Studies

  • Product Liability Modeling

  • Independent Testing & Validation

Predictive Modeling

  • Supporting U/W Guideline; Structural Driver; Risk Management; Pricing; Reserving process
  • Review data for completeness and accuracy
  • Run data profile – identify key drivers
  • Suggest modeling methods/ develop models for reserving/pricing
  • Run model validation - maintain project documentation / report-out findings
  • Analysis
